2019 Firearm Safety / On-line & Classroom

Online Program Range Days are June 15 (full), July 20 (full),
August 17, and September 21

Firearm Safety classroom sessionWealthwood Gun Club has about 10 Instructors for Firearm Safety.  In 2019, we will host four DNR On-Line Program Range Days and two Classroom Programs for students wishing to complete a  DNR Firearm Safety Training Program.
   Participants in WRGC's On-Line Range Day must provide a Completion Voucher from  the on-line Firearm Safety Course ( and a copy of their Birth Certificate (OR Passport, Driver Permit/License, or other legal proof of full name and birthdate).

On-Line Range Days for 2019 are
June 15, July 20, August 17, and September 21

Two Classroom programs will be
offered in 2019:
Week of June 10-14
Week of August 12-16

Classes meet Monday through Friday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.

On-line Hunter Course - Range Field Day Registration Info:

Click here for a fillable Registration Form.  Save it to your computer before filling in the information. Rename it using your student's name or something other than the master file name. Open it to make sure the information you entered is saved in the file. Then attach it to an email to

Additional Information:

You should receive a return email indicating whether or not you have a spot in the class requested. (Allow 48-72 hours for a response). Class sizes are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. There is a non-refundable charge of $5.00 for the field day that must be paid with accepted registration (mail check or call with DC/CC by phone).

FS Tree Stand SafetyThe range day will take about 7 hours. It starts at 8:30 am. Registered students will receive an email about 7-10 days before their scheduled date with additional information on what to bring and what to expect.

 * After completing the Field Day, you will need to log on to the DNR website and enter Field Day completion information & submit $7.50 to the DNR for processing your certificate on-line. You will be able to print out your Firearm Safety Certificate while you are still on-line with the DNR.  Save a copy to your computer so you can reprint it if you lose or destroy your copy. If you are still 11 years old, your certificate will not be valid until you reach your 12th birthday.
