Firearm Safety Program

Firearm Safety classroom sessionWealthwood Gun Club has about 11 Instructors for Firearm Safety.  In 2017, we will host 4 DNR Extended Range Days for students completing the On-line Firearm Safety Training Program.  Participants in WRGC's Extended Range Day must provide a Completion Voucher from the on-line Firearm Safety Course (www.HunterCourse.com) and a copy of their birth certificate or passport or Driver Permit/License (call Ron or Carol at contact below if none of these are available)

Field Days for 2017 are set for June 17(full), July 15(full), August 19(full), and September 16.

Email the completed registration form to wealthwoodgunclub@gmail.com as an attachment. You should receive a return email indicating whether or not you have a spot in the class requested.  Class sizes are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. There is a charge of $7.50 for the field day that must be paid no later than 10 days prior to the date of the Field Day to secure your spot for the class. (updated)

Additional Information:

* Once you complete the Range Day, we will present you with the information you need to submit to the DNR on-line to verify completion of the Firearm Safety Program and Range Day.  Please wait 3 days  after the range day before going on-line to submit data for your certificate, as it takes a few days to submit the final report of passing students to the DNR.

* After completingFS Tree Stand Safety the Field Day, you will need to log on to the DNR website and enter Field Day completion information & submit $7.50 to the DNR for processing your certificate on-line. You will be able to print out your Firearm Safety Certificate while you are still on-line with the DNR.  Save a copy to your computer so you can reprint it if you lose or destroy your copy. If you are still 11 years old, your certificate will not be valid until you reach your 12th birthday.
